enfermos pertenecientes a dicha comunidad.

book, is Graduate from the University of Cádiz in Hispanic Philology in 1992

book, has a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Cádiz and a

doing a Master's Degree in Speech Therapy and Intervention in Language
Disorders by the INESEM Business
School and the Rey Juan Carlos University, as well as the Doctorate in Linguistics
from the University of Cádiz.
The book is structured as follows, firstly the
main guidelines used in the transcription and eleven chapters dedicated to
speech samples of people affected by eleven diseases, pathologies or syndromes
that directly affect the language and that are ordered following an
alphabetical criterion, in order to make more accessible the search to the
reader.
Each chapter is composed of a brief explanation
of the disorder, followed by a technical datasheet that collects information
such as participants, diagnosis, date of beginning of the communicative
disorder, date of recording, studies, profession and habitual language of the
person interviewed, as well as the duration and the place of recording or the
subject to be treated, to later continue to the proper transcription of each
disorder. Regarding the methodology it is worth mentioning that the
transcriptions have been made, as we cited at the beginning, following the
guidelines that professor Beatriz Gallardo Paúls in her Corpus PerLA, adapting
phonetics to the Andalusian dialectology as the patients belong to that
community.
The language disorders that have been treated in
the study are the following ones: aphasia, Alzheimer's disease, autism,
intellectual disability, cortical dysplasia, muscular hypotonia, Parkinson's
disease, Down syndrome, Landau-Kleffner syndrome, Turner syndrome and Specific
Language Impairment (SLI).
This
corpus presents as main novelty that it is the first one that is carried out
with patients from Andalusia. The usefulness of this type of corpus is that it
can be used as a dialectal corpus and also studies can be made from cases.
