</span></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <span style="mso-fareast-font-family: AGaramondPro-Regular;"> <span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> </span></span></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"> <span style="mso-fareast-font-family: AGaramondPro-Regular;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">*</span><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> * *</span></span></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <span style="mso-fareast-font-family: AGaramondPro-Regular;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"></span><span style="font-size: 12pt;"></span></span> </span></div> <br /> <br /> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">María Jesús Paredes Duarte, coordinator of the book, is Graduate from the University of Cádiz in Hispanic Philology in 1992 and in Linguistics in 1997. This is a work of speech transcriptions from samples of people affected by disorders. These transcripts were collected between 2005 and 2012 for their identification and study. Based on the national model determined by the specialist Beatriz Gallardo Paúls (University of Valencia), the work has served to gather interviews with the same parameters of duration, situational context and consent developed in the area.</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;"></span><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <br /></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The book is structured as follows, firstly the main guidelines used in the transcription and eleven chapters dedicated to speech samples of people affected by eleven diseases, pathologies or syndromes that directly affect the language and that are ordered following an alphabetical criterion, in order to make more accessible the search to the reader.</span></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <br /></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Each chapter is composed of a brief explanation of the disorder, followed by a technical datasheet that collects information such as participants, diagnosis, date of beginning of the communicative disorder, date of recording, studies, profession and habitual language of the person interviewed, as well as the duration and the place of recording or the subject to be treated, to later continue to the proper transcription of each disorder. Regarding the methodology it is worth mentioning that the transcriptions have been made, as we cited at the beginning, following the guidelines that professor Beatriz Gallardo Paúls in her Corpus PerLA, adapting phonetics to the Andalusian dialectology as the patients belong to that community.</span></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <br /></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The language disorders that have been treated in the study are the following ones: aphasia, Alzheimer's disease, autism, intellectual disability, cortical dysplasia, muscular hypotonia, Parkinson's disease, Down syndrome, Landau-Kleffner syndrome, Turner syndrome and Specific Language Impairment (SLI).</span></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <br /></div> <div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> <span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-font-family: AGaramondPro-Regular;">This corpus presents as main novelty that it is the first one that is carried out with patients from Andalusia. The usefulness of this type of corpus is that it can be used as a dialectal corpus and also studies can be made from cases.</span></div> <br /> <br />
